I get the impression from folks who've been around him that he's a pretty nice guy and that he knows and loves bikes. I didn't buy the book after reading a few chunks. I get the impression it's like Mike's show - inane snippets about some neat stuff I would like to know great interspersed with bothersome crap about very silly expressions that happen to have two wheels. Sorry, Mike, but a comic book about cafe bikes is only okay until you get past puberty. My first Matchless came my way about then for me and that was 1965. Since, I haven't so much wanted a fashion to succeed as some in depth looks at how to or some reads about my forbearers. In the day, all the print around me gave over to either moto-x or 74's unless it came out of the Uk or in a language I couldn't read. Today, it's the same story except the laguage that makes no sense to me is that of fashion and celebrity. So, it's morning here - easiest we ride west until noon, quaff a few, and head home.
